Police officer shares his dinner with a man

What happened

A police officer named Daniel Mahoney Jr. found a man who was sobbing and asking for help with his drinking problem. He had not ate anything throughout the day so the officer shared his dinner with him.

What did the police officer do

An officer from North Tonawanda (N.Y) department was patrolling through the city when he noticed a man sitting on the bench in front of the restaurant. When inquired about him he further revealed about his drinking problems and said he had not ate had anything since morning.
Just as a friend will do the officer Mohoney opened his dinner and shared it with him. He said if any officer was in his place they would have done the same thing.

What happened after that

Steven Mineo, the owner of Sticky Face BBQ, snapped a picture of Mahoney right outside his restaurant and posted on facebook where it went viral.
People now know officer Mohoney's name outside North Tonawanda and are praising him a lot for his kind deed
