Watching your favorite football game with a glass of beer is enjoyed by everyone. So was Carson King an Iowa state football fan. He wanted to have money for his beer so King, 24, waved a sign that read "Busch Light Supply Needs Replenished," under which he'd scrawled his Venmo handle in black Sharpie, on Sept. 14 during ESPN's "College. It would be a joke he believed and did not knew that people will take it to seriously.
To his amazement his Venmo account was replenished with 600 dollars in response to his sign asking for beer money that was shown on TV. After receiving money he went to his family members for suggestion and they all came to a point where he agreed. He took to social media to announce that after covering the cost of a case of Busch Lite, he would be donating the rest of the proceeds to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital.
For this he was on GMA broadcast and within hours he received more than 2000 notification and people started to donate in huge numbers. Busch beer and Venmo also came into the league by declaring they would match the amount of king has raised by donation.
Till now King has received more than million dollars in donation and he is going to keep this donations open till the end of this month. After that he will take this money into his account and then donate the amount of check in his name to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital.
The Twitter account of University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital. "Thank you to everyone who helped reach this milestone! We’re so grateful!"
So asking for beer money has led to a large number of public donations to the hospital. This donations have filled many families with tears of joy and gratitude towards the community.
